This course is for anyone working in a low risk environment and includes preparing to enter and work safely, entering and exiting confined spaces safely, using equipment and tools, following procedures and dealing with emergencies.

This course is for the entry controller/top person who controls entry and arrangements for confined spaces without entering them. It includes the duties of an entry controller, pre-entry procedures, entry into and exit from the confined space, maintaining communications and initiating and controlling emergency procedures.

This course is for the entry controller/top person who controls entry and arrangements for medium risk confined spaces and works within them. It includes the duties of an entry controller, pre-entry procedures, preparing to work safely, using equipment and tools safely, entry into and exit from the medium risk confined space, maintaining communications, and initiating and following emergency arrangements.

This course is for those working in a medium risk environment and includes preparing to work safely, entering and exiting medium risk confined spaces safely, using equipment and tools safely, following procedures and dealing with emergencies.

If you are involved in manual handling at your workplace, it is important you learn the principles of safe handling and the risks associated with manual handling.

This training course is designed to meet the requirements for training in line with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment regulations 1998 (PUWER 1998) for safety in the use of abrasive wheels and discs. For those required to enter areas deemed as high risk due to atmospheric conditions and require the use of Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA). This course will follow guidelines set out in the Confined Space Regulations 1997.

For any person who has responsibility for planning safe systems of work, after risk assessment, for others entering confined spaces, uses permits to work as part of a safe system and is appointed by the employer to be the Responsible or Authorising Officer responsible for confined spaces and/or implementing/maintaining the employer’s confined spaces policy.
