This course is for anyone working in a low risk environment and includes preparing to enter and work safely, entering and exiting confined spaces safely, using equipment and tools, following procedures and dealing with emergencies.

This course is for the entry controller/top person who controls entry and arrangements for confined spaces without entering them. It includes the duties of an entry controller, pre-entry procedures, entry into and exit from the confined space, maintaining communications and initiating and controlling emergency procedures.

This is a 1 day bolt on course to the 6160-03. Only delegates who have completed the 6160-03 course may attend this course on day 4. If you book this course without completing the 6160-03, your place will be cancelled and reimbursed.

This course is for the entry controller/top person who controls entry and arrangements for medium risk confined spaces and works within them. It includes the duties of an entry controller, pre-entry procedures, preparing to work safely, using equipment and tools safely, entry into and exit from the medium risk confined space, maintaining communications, and initiating and following emergency arrangements.

This course is for those working in a medium risk environment and includes preparing to work safely, entering and exiting medium risk confined spaces safely, using equipment and tools safely, following procedures and dealing with emergencies.

If you are involved in manual handling at your workplace, it is important you learn the principles of safe handling and the risks associated with manual handling.

The Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER)are set of regulations created under the Health & Safety at Work act 1974.

The National Water Hygiene scheme has been developed at the request of Water UK, the body representing the water supply companies across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. This course is for any person working on restricted operations sites such as service reservoirs, pumping stations, treatment works, wells, spring and boreholes and working on the network of water mains and service pipes as they are all required to be in possession of a National Water Hygiene card.

Qualitative or Quantitative Face Fit Testing

This course covers the 14 points laid out in: HSE OC 282/28 Fit Testing of Respiratory Protective Equipment Facepieces Paragraph 24 stipulates who can conduct a face fit test.

For any person working in a High Risk confined space and form part of a rescue team, who may need to enter the confined space and assist persons to exit the confined space in the event of an emergency.

Designed for people entering areas classified as a confined space, and explains the risks associated with confined space entry.

For those required to enter areas deemed as high risk due to atmospheric conditions and require the use of Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA). This course will follow guidelines set out in the Confined Space Regulations 1997.

For any person who has responsibility for planning safe systems of work, after risk assessment, for others entering confined spaces, uses permits to work as part of a safe system and is appointed by the employer to be the Responsible or Authorising Officer responsible for confined spaces and/or implementing/maintaining the employer’s confined spaces policy.
